Terms of use
Last updated 6 October 2026
These terms apply when you use the WaltzUp website or apps. By using WaltzUp you agree to them, so please read them. They don't affect your legal rights as a consumer.
About WaltzUp
WaltzUp is run by I M DIMSUM LIMITED (company no. 15806053, registered office 3 Tulyar Mews, Nork Gardens, Banstead, England, SM7 1NZ). WaltzUp is a platform that connects you with independent local shops, cafés, restaurants and event organisers.
The shop is the seller. When you order, buy a voucher or book, your contract for that food, drink, voucher or table is with the shop, not with WaltzUp. WaltzUp provides the ordering, payment and tracking service on the shop's behalf.
Your account
- You sign in with your email address (a one-time code) or with Google. Keep access to your email secure.
- You must be at least 13 to use WaltzUp, and 18 to buy anything age-restricted where a shop offers it.
- Give accurate details, especially your delivery address, so your order reaches you.
- You're responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else is using it.
Orders and payment
- Prices, menus, opening times and availability are set by each shop and can change. You pay the price shown at checkout.
- An order is placed once payment is confirmed. The shop may still be unable to fulfil it (for example if an item has run out); if so, it should tell you and refund you.
- Card payments are processed securely by Stripe. Some shops take payment through their own Stripe account.
- Collect pickup orders at the time and place shown. Delivery areas, times and any delivery charge are set by the shop.
- Allergies and dietary needs: allergen and ingredient information comes from the shop. If you have an allergy, check with the shop before you order.
Cancellations and refunds
Because food is made to order and perishable, the usual 14-day right to cancel doesn't apply once the shop has started preparing it. If something is wrong with your order, contact the shop first. If you can't resolve it, email us at privacy@waltzup.com and we'll help. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 aren't affected.
Vouchers, coupons and loyalty points
- Vouchers are prepaid and can only be used at the shop that sold them, in one go, before the expiry date shown. They can't be exchanged for cash, except where the law says otherwise.
- Coupons are discounts offered by shops, subject to the conditions shown (such as a minimum spend). Each can be used once.
- Loyalty points are earned at a shop and can only be used at that shop. They have no cash value, and shops may change their rewards.
Bookings and queues
Bookings and queue places are managed by the shop. Please cancel if you can't make it. A shop may release your table or place if you don't arrive.
Events
Events on WaltzUp are run by their organisers, not by WaltzUp, unless we say otherwise. Details come from the organiser or from public sources, and can change. Check with the organiser before you travel. See our disclaimer.
Reviews and messages
Reviews must be honest and about your own experience. Don't post anything unlawful, abusive, misleading or that includes someone else's personal information. Shops and WaltzUp may hide reviews that break these rules.
Using WaltzUp fairly
Don't misuse WaltzUp: no fraud, no fake orders or reviews, no attempts to access other people's accounts or information, and no scraping, overloading or interfering with the service. We may suspend accounts that do.
Our content
The WaltzUp name, logo, design and software belong to I M DIMSUM LIMITED. Shop and event content (names, menus, photos, posters) belongs to the shop or organiser.
Availability and liability
We work hard to keep WaltzUp running, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We're not responsible for the food, drink or service provided by shops, or for events run by organisers.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for your statutory rights as a consumer. Otherwise, we're not liable for losses that weren't foreseeable, or for business losses.
Changes and law
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
How we handle your information is explained in our privacy policy. Questions about these terms: privacy@waltzup.com.
