Cookie policy
Last updated 6 October 2026
WaltzUp uses as little as possible: one cookie to keep you signed in, and your bag saved in your browser. No advertising, analytics or tracking cookies.
What we use
- Sign-in cookie: keeps you signed in after you verify your email, so you don't need a new code on every visit. It can't be read by scripts on the page, only works over a secure connection, and expires after 30 days or when you sign out.
- Your bag: the items in your bag are saved in your browser's own storage (not a cookie), so they're still there if you close the page. They never leave your device until you check out.
Both are strictly necessary for the parts of WaltzUp you choose to use, so UK law (PECR) doesn't require us to ask for consent first. That's why there's no cookie banner.
Other services
When you pay, you're taken to Stripe's secure checkout, which sets its own cookies to process the payment and prevent fraud. If you sign in with Google, Google sets its own cookies on its sign-in page. Opening a map loads images from OpenStreetMap. Their own policies cover those.
Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the sign-in cookie, you'll need a new code each time you visit. Questions: privacy@waltzup.com.
